The crystal-clear waters along the shores of Fethiye offer the ideal location for scuba diving. The Mediterranean hosts a wide variety of fascinating sea-life such as fish, octopus, crayfish, lobster, eels, cuttlefish and if you’re lucky sea turtles, rays and dolphins. Seahorses hiding amongst the seagrass and colorful coral are an exciting find too.

There are no negative currents along Fethiye’s extensive shoreline, this makes it easy and safe to master this sport. There are many experienced dive centers in the area, that arrange daily and nightly diving tours throughout the year, for both beginners and skilled divers, as well as extensive courses based on PADI, CMAS, and BSAC. To suit all tastes, there are approximately twenty dive sites around Fethiye. These sites vary from shallow waters to impressive underwater caves, it is also possible to perform an archaeological dive.

So if you are over the age of 12, with no health problems, can swim and are keen to explore the depths of the cleanest part of the Mediterranean, Fethiye is the place for you!

After leaving your hotel we will take you for the famous weekly bazaar in Fethiye with hundreds of stalls, where you will be able to bargain with local traders coming with their goods from surrounding villages. Textiles, shoes, bags, spices, souvenirs and fresh local products are just some examples you’ll get to come across. Free time for shopping on the bazaar is included, as well. Following the bazaar, there is more shopping at two additional points. In the biggest gold center in Fethiye, you will be amazed by the workmanship quality and prices of masterpieces within the jewelry, that Turkey is proud of. In Turkey we love sweets, let’s try and buy some of them at the Turkish Delight Factory. Then, you will move to the real, ‘ghost town’.  Kayakoy is actually a town built on the place of the ancient Carmylessus in XVIII century. It had over 1000 houses, 14 chapels, two churches, two schools, forge and halfway house. After the Turkish-Greek war, one time in the year of 1923 the history of Kayakoy ended. All Orthodox Greeks could only take what they could carry in their hands and they were all departed to Greece leaving hundreds of empty buildings.

The Dalyan Delta, with a long, golden sandy beach at its mouth, is a nature conservation area, home to plenty of wildlife, including sea turtles, all to be seen on your visit to Fethiye. High on the cliff face, at a bend in the river and above the fascinating ancient harbor city of Caunos, observe the 2,000-year-old Lycian tombs that were carved into the rock. Then land on the unspoiled sands of Turtle Beach and relax, with the opportunity to walk around, sunbathe, swim, and more. Enjoy a relaxing full-day tour of Dalyan on Turkey’s Lycian Coast, sailing by boat across the turquoise sea to Turtle Beach (officially known as Iztuzu Beach). Admire the remarkable rock-cut tombs of the Kings of Kaunos along the coast. Founded around the 9th-century BC on the border of the Kingdom of Lycia, Kaunos became an important Carian city around 400 BC and its culture reflected aspects of both Kingdoms. The tombs were designated for the kings and other powerful people of the city and filled with food, money, jewelry and other valuable items. Marvel at the Dalyan Canal as it weaves its way from Köyceğiz Lake to the beach, a peninsula jutting out from the mainland. Famous for the endangered loggerhead turtles (Caretta Caretta) that lay their eggs in the sand, as well as blue crab, the beach is now protected to help conserve the turtles, making it out of bounds to the public from May through September. Jump into a mud bath for an indulgent and therapeutic wallow before your return transfer to your hotel in Fethiye.
